The Faen's Arrival Into the Mortal World

The Faen arrived in the east most lands of the continent of Odránidir (which means “Blessed Land” in their tongue. It was called Odáridire in Elder Faenir). They called the world Idínasta (meaning "Middle Star", but was shortened to "Midstar". In Elder Faenir, it was called Idíresta), being that it was the central world of the cosmos. They came to establish their own society with religion and beliefs (such as the Realmstar cosmology), writing, studies of astrology and magic, and much more. This is where records began to be kept, and the First Era began.   When the Faen came to Midstar, they were no longer immortal, as they had left their world which was outside the effects of time and decay. The idea of death was foreign to them. Ihrmathnil came to them and said, "Fear not, my children, for I have not forsaken you. You shall not truly die here. Your spirits shall be reborn into a mortal vessel once more, and the cycle shall continue. I will not pain or tire you with memories of many lives past. In each rebirth, you shall be born anew until the day that you return to me." And so they were at ease, for they began to understand their greater purpose in the world. The Faen, even over the passage of time, retained their fairness, and were long living even in the mortal world.

Historical Basis

This myth is widely believed due to it being written down by the Faen, who keep many historical records, and follow their religious beliefs strongly. It is also more believable that they are otherworldly, being that they have longer lifespans and have a natural ability to use magic.
