Empire of Iléndir
Iléndir is the empire of the Astánafaen. It is one of the oldest and largest nations known in Midstar. It's territory spans between Greenmere and the peninsula of the Grey Sea, as well as the entirety of Fennen Tirel.
Structure
The Emperor is the head of the empire, and each city or town has a lord.
Assets
The kingdom of Greenmere borders the south of the province of Duskfall. The rest is surrounded by sea and mountains. A border wall is built withing the mountains where Iléndir and Anúrendor meet. Fennen Tirel is surrounded by sea. Cities have larger walls built around them with watch towers. Towns have smaller walls surrounding them. Iléndirin soldiers are stationed in cities to help protect civilians.
History
Iléndir was founded around 650, 1E by Emperor Gélryvil. The Astánafaen were more ambitious, and began to build up their military and expand into unexplored territory. By 698, 1E, they had gained most of what would become Anúrendor in the Third Era, but stopped at the Drake Mountains in fear of dragons they had spotted. Around the year 710, 1E, Iléndir sent expeditions in the north and south. The north was frozen and was not survivable. In the south was a great island that they named Fennen Tirel, the Island of the South Edge, and it became territory of the Empire of Iléndir. The empire had territory in the jungles south of the Ivory Sea until it was invaded and taken by the Jeyawahle Empire.
In the year 1,801, 2E, High-King Khurdruck of Tyrvan-Jurltar slew Emperor Bothêl after being insulted. This lead to the seven month long war known as the War of Kings. Siclístei, son of Bothêl, slew Khurdruck in the Battle of Dragonrock using his sword, Difnísdevor. Tyrvan-Jurltar was forced to surrender. This eventually lead to ruined relationships and skirmishes between the Faen and the Dwarfs.
