Half-Elf

Halflings, as they are called, are those born of both human and elven blood. Cast out from normal society, as well as anyone who defends them, they live in squalor in slums known as The Borrow in Lake Vernay. If they do not live there, they must make their own way in the world, tending towards nomadic tribes. A
ll halflings born in a human or elven town or city are branded when they are children on the back of their neck, marking them. The brand is of a half-crescent moon, meant to demonstrate that they will never be full. Halfling characteristics vary, but generally they have smaller elven ears, sometimes misshapen. 
They will not have a longer lifespan than a human, but their senses are slightly more heightened.
