Avatar Legends: Petals of the Lotus

Air, Water, Earth, Fire. These four elements represent the four major nations and the person of the Avatar, the only being who can control all four elements at once.   Nearly 100 years ago, an Avatar named Gan was born during a time of great strife and conflict between the nations. During her lifetime Avatar Gan brought peace to the world, using diplomacy, subterfuge, and even sometimes brute force.   In order to maintain the peace she built, Avatar Gan formed a world organization known as the Order of the Lotus. Headed by various leaders of the 4 major nations, this Order was successful in maintaining the peace, but only as long as Avatar Gan brought legitimacy to the order.   Eventually, Avatar Gan passed on. But with her death, the Order of the Lotus feared it would lose its influence among the nations. And so, the Order kept the death of the Avatar a secret.   Now, the Order covertly seeks to find the new Avatar. But, perhaps by some divine prank of the Spirits, four potential candidates to be the Avatar have emerged among the four nations, Anya of the Fire Nation, Anak of the Air Nation, Teratai of the Water Nation, and Qel of the Earth Nation.   Only one of them is the Avatar...
