Granny's Cupboard
Life in Far Field is rough. I'm grateful for this wonderful kindness. It makes the days a little brighter.Nestled at the center of Far Field is a small, simple temple. It serves as the base of operations for Granny's Cupboard. This charity services the residents that live in the district. It was created and named in memory of the owner's grandmother.
Design
The temple has two floors and a basement. It was built from reclaimed wood and stone that survived the fire in the Ashen Crown. The main floor is spacious and has a few pews in front of a pulpit. There are two side rooms on both the left and right wall of this floor. Sitting and meeting rooms are located on the second floor. The temple's grounds keeper and owner have their own small bedrooms up there. There is a private bathroom the two share while public bathrooms are located on the ground floor and in the basement. Stairs lead down into the basement, depositing folks into a hallway. This corridor is wide enough for two people to fit side by side. There are three doors along both walls. A couple benches and small tables line the walls between each door.Services
The main service of Granny's Cupboard is its soup kitchen and food pantry. All services are available to those in Far Field and extends to others in need as supplies and funding allow. The pantry runs out of the basement while the soup kitchen is held on the ground floor. Special meals and food baskets are often offered for certain holidays or festivals. Once per season there is a week long distribution of non food items like clothing and household supplies. If a family has any children, they gather what they can to provide a small basket for the child's birthday. Granny's Cupboard also has a counselor and cleric on site twice a week to offer services and guide clients to other helpful resources.Far Field
