Religious event
The chronans arrive on Phoenix and their gods join the Phonexian Pantheons.
Solspathí’s capital, Leonos, received quite the shock on the fifth day of Rovion. Residents were stunned to see a spacefaring vessel land by their docks. When the Crimson Guard arrived to investigate, a group of human-like people with glowing eyes had exited the ship. They identified themselves as Chronans, and they were settlers from another world who were looking for a new home. The Crimson Guard escorted the ship’s three leaders to speak with the Council of Archbishops to gain a better understanding of the situation.
The first of these three leaders was a chronan man named Nathan McCoy, the Prophet of Strength, who served as their religious leader for the chronan god of change, the Towering Death. The second was an elderly chronan man who only identified himself as the Phoenix Emperor; he claimed no relation to Ki, but he was a former ruler of the chronan people. The last of the three leaders, High Priestess Alica Matthias, was a human woman dressed in strange armor. The High Priestess served as the religious leader for the chronan god of intellect, the Hermetic Magician.
When the three chronan leaders met with the Council, they came to an agreement that the chronans would be welcome to live in Solspathí with some conditions. The first condition was that at least one of their religious leaders needed to join the Council of Archbishops. The second condition was that the chronans would need to learn and follow Solspathí law. The leaders agreed to the terms, and the Prophet of Strength joined the Council of Archbishops.
It was not only the chronans that had arrived that day. The chronan deities, known as the Tarotic Gods, also arrived in the outer planes. The first deity to contact the Phoenixian gods was the god of change, the Towering Death. The Towering Death almost caused an extraplanar incident after challenging Dominus Uribal to a battle. This incident was avoided thanks to Exarch Estix inviting the Towering Death to meet with the Exarchs instead.
This challenge did not go unnoticed, and God-King Rovius arranged a meeting with the Tarotic Gods. The Tarotics were welcome to aid the Phoenixian gods in maintaining the Material Plane, on the condition that they chose one of the Phoenixian pantheons that lined up with their domains. If the planar balance between the gods was not carefully maintained, all of reality could unravel and spell doom for the multiverse.
The Tarotic gods agreed to help maintain balance, and each one chose their Phoenixian role. The Towering Death became one of the exarchs of the Necropolis. The Sunknight Star became an imperator of the Welkin. The Hermetic Magician became an overseer of Utopia. The Moon became a dominus of Diabolis. The Fortunate Fool, the Devil, and the Hanged Man became itinerant gods that wander the Fissure, Hinterlands, and Material Plane.
