Aelv
The Aelves are a lithe, graceful and ethereal people. They are among the most powerful spellcasters in the world; each has a strong affinity for the arcane. They have long natural lives, often more than seven centuries.
Aelves do not deteriorate with age as other races do and instead slowly transform into a pure crystal. This long-life makes them patient and slow to anger, though they lack the drive and decisiveness of other shorter-lived races.
Due to their dependence on arcane energies before the manastorm the surviving Aelves now suffer arcane withdrawal, a thirst for mana. They must exercise rigorous mental discipline or risk falling prey to their most primal urges, a path from which there is no return.
