Rilos Wellspring

Physical Description

Physical quirks

Rilos is right handed. When she walks, it's almost like watching a ballerina walk: On the balls of her feet, quickly and quietly.

Special abilities

The only magical abilities that Rilos displays are abilities to speed up the healing process or to fix minor injuries.

Apparel & Accessories

Rilos wears a dark brown, sleeveless v-neck shirt made out of hemp from the forest she grew up in. She also wears tan cotton pants that have dark leather strips wrapped around the legs, made out of deer leather, to help keep her warm at night. She carries a dark green cloak and scarf, which she often pulls up over her face as she travels

Specialized Equipment

Rilos always carries a scimitar made of simple iron and her family's crest pressed into the hilt, three daggers with the same family crest pressed into the hilt, and a long bow and several arrows. The arrows are built with green feathers in the end, the same color as her cloak.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Born in the southern most town of the Empire, Rilos comes from the family of Elves tasked with watching over the Nightshade Forest. Her family, and the other Elves of Wellspring, make up a group called the Last Forest Kin. They are the watchers and protectors of the boarder between the Empire and Ebron.   Rilos was an unexpected addition to her family, being born nearly one hundred and fifty years after her closest sibling. As she got older, it became more and more clear that there was a gap between her and the rest of her family, and not just in age. While the rest of her family showed a strong aptitude for the arcane arts and magic, Rilos didn't. Try as she might, the only spells that Rilos could do was a few healing spells. Because of this, she was often seen as week by her family, and often ridiculed for only being able to do a few spells.   Whenever she was ridiculed or mocked by her family and fellow clansmen, Rilos would run off into the woods to hide. Her family would spend hours trying to find where Rilos disappeared to, afraid that she was getting into trouble. While her family was searching for her, Rilos would just sit and observe nature. She would learn nature's camouflage, and would learn how and where animals tracked through the woods. She learned how to hide from animals as well, scared that she might be hurt or killed by predators. After hours of looking for her, Rilos would eventually appear, seemingly out of no where, back at her clan's settlement.   By the time Rilos was twenty, still incredibly young by Elven standards, Rilos learned how to shoot a bow and arrow. She trained with her siblings, and quickly became a skilled hunter, only a few years later. She was extremely talented in tracking and finding animals because she had spent so much time watching animals in the forest. Rilos was also deadly accurate with a bow and arrow, being able to hit a deer square in the eye from several yards away. As she got older, Rilos was also able to demonstrate great ability sneaking up on her enemies and killing them with daggers or a scimitar or even engaging in hand-to-hand combat. Rilos worked tirelessly to perfect these skills, believing that if she didn't have the same magical abilities as her family, she was going to perfect the skills she did have.   Rilos was also very different from her family personality wise. Her family, being basically of royal blood, put on an air about them. They were chaste and followed the old tradition of flirting and courtship. They never did anything that would embarrass them or the family. Whatever embarrassing things that happened in their lives was quickly swept under the rug and those involved were paid to keep things quiet. Rilos, however, didn't see the point in any of that. She didn't understand why people had to hide how they felt about other people or different situations, especially since ignoring feelings or ignoring what needed to be said would often just cause more trouble down the line.   Because of her views of speaking her mind and doing what she wanted, Rilos often found herself in trouble. She would openly flirt with people, especially people that she wasn't supposed to, and she would say things that were inappropriate to elders or important members of the Last Forest Kin. As she got older, Rilos would even have sex with people that she wasn't supposed to, mainly anyone, as Elven tradition is to wait until married. Still, because Rilos was part of the Wellspring family, there wasn't much that others could do, so she would end up with a "slap on the wrist" and would continue doing what she was before.   Finally, when her family grew tired of Rilos' rebellious nature, they decided to send Rilos north to Enyalin, where their distant kin lived. When the idea was first proposed it was presented as a way for Rilos to see the world and engage in her rebellious activities that Rilos was so intent on. But, about three days before Rilos was set to leave on her journey to Enyalin, a darkness appeared in the Nightshade Forest. This darkness was something that no one in Wellspring had ever seen before, and caused panic in Wellspring. Rilos offered her services to head to Enyalin and to ask for help from the Cave Elves that lived there in protecting the Conclave Empire.
