The Goa Empire has reigned supreme on the continent of Avalon for approximately 13,000 years and existed for nearly 16,000 years. There exists very little information about their beginnings, but their rise to power was meteoric. All it took was a single conference with all the powers of Avalon for each kingdom to give up a piece of its territory which is now the Goa Empire. Only the royal families know what happened during this conference from secret journals and since then, the conference of the kings has been ongoing every 36 years since. The Goa Empire is considered a holy land and the Emperor is rumored to be a superior Rever given an authority that makes him immortal. These rumors surfaced in light of there never having been any succession ceremonies since the founding of the Empire. What is known explicitly is all the countries give tribute to the Goa Empire during the conference and their military might is on a different level than any of the kingdoms. As such, any citizens from the Goa Empire are treated with the utmost respect when they cross borders.
Society
In the Goa Empire, one is either apart of the Goa Clan or Imperial Palace, a part of the military or a servant of either two. Servants make up the largest portion of the Empire, but use the least amount of resources taken from tributaries.
- Secrets: The Goan royal family uses the remnants of the god of Equality to bolster the divinity of their mountain, giving rise to powerful practitioners. It's a part of an initiative to create more Revers artificially and tap into the power of the orbiting gods. - The first Emperor of Goa was a fellow traveler and friend of the Rever of Equality and later backstabbed her. - The Goan Emperor, Rever of Evolution pays a heavy price for his power. Despite the rumors, the founding Emperor is long dead and has been replaced a dozen times by newer, more powerful versions of himself. His goal is to become an existence grander than a human, to be able to affect Karma itself. As a Rever of Evolution, he must keep his country powerful relative to his neighbors as an Emperor. In exchange, he is given the authority of Evolution. A power that grants him an incremental rebirth. Each rebirth follows after the [conference of the kings] and during which a ceremony takes place. There a new Emperor is born with talents relative to the previous Emperor's power over others. The new Emperor is then groomed to start the process over again. - The reigning emperor and his forefathers have been giving tribute to the leader of a planet that exists on a higher realm. Due to the enormous contributions, the presence of Devi has weakened on Avalon over time. - Geography: - It was rumored that the Goa Empire used to be the Goa Kingdom situated in what is now known as the Wastelands, but something catastrophic occurred.
