The Great Cataclysm

Considered the greatest tragedy of Earth's history second only to the sinking and Soul Rending of Atlantis. The Great Cataclysm is when the Aryan Reich unleashed it's fearsome monster army.

When Set was released from his prison he was not impressed with the way the Earth had evolved sense his days as a god. He missed magic and certain beasts like Dragons, Megladon, and his personal favorite, humanoid Jackals. To suite his tastes he ordered his Aryan followers to use magic and science to create new monsters and races.

At 3 a.m. on March 4, 2020 A.T. the Aryans unleashed all their armies of monsters from compounds and underground cities in Utah, California, Nevada, and Washington state. These monsters driven by fear and a thirst for vengeance laid waste to the surrounding areas. While the Western United States tried to fight back millions died within the first couple hours.

This singular event lead to an economic collapse of the United States and much of the world. Entire industries such as Apple, Microsoft, Boeing, Starbucks no longer existed while others suffered massive losses and were unable to recover. With much of its military and economic strength gone the United States focused less on containing the new monsters instead of reconquering its lost territory.

However not everything went according to plan for the Aryans. In Utah and California in particular fought back with the assistance of Gods and Faey creatures. In Washington however the dragons there destroyed the nuclear reactor killing most living life nearby. No one has heard news from Washington sense.

As new nations and cultures started to emerge this event became the starting point for every major calendar. To most it is known as the great cataclysm. To others however it is known as the Great Migration in honor of the chance their ancestors had to escape Aryan oppression.
