As the United States and Mexico fell into chaos after the Great Catastrophe other nations would rise to fill the vacuum of power. In the south students of ancient history with Aztec, Egyptian, and Persian ancestry gathered together to create an empire encompassing all of their beloved cultures. Using a policy of acceptance and tolerance for all cultures and ruthlessness against their enemies, they quickly gathered power and territory.

Starting in Arizona State University Downtown Phoenix campus, the students quickly gathered support from local police and health care survivors. This allowed them to secure their territory but also to take care of their population. During the following years the Azteca Empire would claim territory from Southern Utah deep into Mexico, Southern California, and Southern Nevada.
