When the Dwarves first left the Dream Mine they were wary of making alliances with humans. Feeling subterranean cities were more defensible the Dwarves took many Drow and Torren and colonized the nearby mountains.

The Dwarves first city was named Korvaskr, after the name of their leader. Korvaskr Silverbeard disliked the totalitarian rule of the Aryans. Feeling power was a great corrupter of the soul he helped create a constitutional monarchy. The Dwarves and their allies dug deep into the mountain creating one of the largest cities in Avalon Valley
