Formation of the Teutonic Knights

I call upon the Gods above and my ancestors from before me to be witness to my oath and indenture.

My blade is sacred and shall always by at my side as a sign of my oath to me and my fellow man.

I shall never raise a blade in anger. But keep my heart filled with compassion and virtue.

I shall always seek to help my fellow man to the best of my ability and protect those around me from all dark beings.

My sword is meant for the blood of monsters and shall only shed the blood of men if only necessary.

I shall not deceive unless deceiving a servant of evil even if I shall pay my life for the truth.

I will not seek money for gain but shall trust the Gods above me to provide for my needs as they provide for the birds.

I will seek peace and wisdom above riches and fame.

May the good and innocent trust me, and may the wicked and monstrous fear me.

-Oath of the Teutonic Knights-

Before the Crisis of The Lady, the Norden Reunia and Avalon Kingdom were in a constant state of war with each other. Fearing his new nation wouldn't be able to fight both Avalon Kingdom and the Vampire Counts at the same time, Wilhelm Hoffman created the Teutonic Knights. This Knightly Order would be allowed to run as a micro nation of sorts as long as it remained true to its charter and followed Norden Law.

The original Teutonic Knights were started during the ancient crusades and existed in some fashion until Hitler took control of ancient Germany. While Hitler outlawed the order many of its knights operated in secrete. They would help Jews escape the Gestapo, smuggle food and ration cards to those in need, and plead for temperance and moderation in all things. While this made them enemies of the Gestapo many were able to operate in secret. Even when the Aryan Nation was formed in the United States many Knights Teutonic were able to operate in the Salem Dream Mine. Wilhelm Hoffman became their leader shortly before the great cataclysm.

In Orca 16 3 AC Wilhelm Hoffman gave the Knights Teutonic a new charter and privileges. By making them an official Knightly Order as they once were they were allowed to build castles, estates, farms and even small armies. The order was tasked with protecting the weak and to hunt those who endangered them. Mostly Aryans, Werewolves, and Feral Vampires.

Seeing the benefits to a 3rd party monster defense force Avalon Kingdom and Prussia both recognized the order and allowed them to build estates and recruiting within their borders.

Currently most of their bases are in Norden Reunia, Prussia and Avalon but they do have a chapter in Havana. Their largest base is in Kennicott City in the old mine that bares it names. The most militaristic they will investigate any rumor of monsters and will show no mercy to any they find as well as wage an unending war against the Vampire Clans ruling Salt Valley.

While some believe their crusades into the Salt Valley are pointless, the Knights Teutonic have been able to open the first land route to Kennicott Colony and keep it open for 5 years.
