Stelda Iron

Elvish for fallen star this metal is made by melting down meteorites. Being the strongest and rarest metal known in Avalon it is very prized and very expensive. Many scamming merchants have taken to lacquering or enchanting other metals to appear like Stelda Iron. While Stelda is lighter than any other metal it can still cut through Steel and Orichalcum weapons and armor.

Items made with Stelda cannot be broken except by master blacksmith with special forge.

Can hold up to 3 enchantments

Weapons made from Stelda add +4 to attach rolls. Stelda Armor adds +4 to AC

History & Usage

History

First found during the Age of the Godless. This metal is primarily used to make weapons due to its rarety. There are a handful of known armor suites made from Stelda however most are lost to history.

Discovery

First discovered by Goblin and Dwarf smiths in Tastard around 75AC after the city state had several meteorites fall nearby.

Cultural Significance and Usage

Due to its high cost and rarity most blacksmiths only dream of working with Stelda. It is considered a gift from the gods if they are given the opportunity to do so. Stelda weapons are a symbol of status and wealth although this can make you a target for thieves and jealous lords.

Trade & Market

Mostly sold by the Dwarven City States who first found the secrete to refining the molten meteorite. There are those in the Azteca Empire, Baldur, and Norden Reunia that have learned the secretes as well. However their products are generally sold only to their governments.
