Physical Description

General Physical Condition

The goddess' physical appearance is probably the youngest-looking of the other deities. A few of the gods have chosen forms that show them at the peak of beauty and health (such as Nehalennia or Artemis), while others choose forms that are harder to gauge (Coyote and Quetzalcoatl are prime examples).

Identifying Characteristics

Nehalennia's eyes are a piercing sea green that appear to glow in any light. She also lacks a pupil, so her irises are flat discs of color.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

After Poseidon created the Adveni Sea, he gifted it to Nehalennia so that she could help the Merfolk adjust to their new home. She became the main deity associated with the sea in Avalon Valley and, since Poseidon has not returned to claim otherwise, she has stepped into the role with no real fuss or ceremony.

Taboos

Nehalennia has acted indifferently towards the Revenants, but Hartwin is almost always aggressive towards them.

Social

Contacts & Relations

  • The Fae love Hartwin and will try to play with him whenever they are around, but the poor dog just seems to tolerate them at best.
  • Poseidon was the one who gifted the Adveni Sea to Nehalennia, so it is assumed that the two are connected in some way. They have similar domains, of course, but there are those who wonder if they have anything else that links them (marriage, parent/child, siblings, etc.)

Hobbies & Pets

Hartwin, Nehalennia's greyhound, is her constant companion. The goddess is never seen without him, and they are always depicted together in religious artworks. Hartwin is a loyal companion to his mistress, and is fiercely protective of her. Hartwin's eyes have the same appearance as Nehalennia's - sea green, with no pupil.
