* WEEK 1 *

  My area of focus for this challenge is going to be two-fold because I am preparing the books as well as the setting for an upcoming campaign-book.
  • The Araxi Whites and the City of Zion - history, setting, fauna, environment, and all that comes with it.
  • Shadow War lore
  Will I write about anything and everything else? Probably. But I have a goal. I might not stick with it but I will certainly try.

* WEEK 2 *

  Homepage is looking good at the moment. I am happy with how it presents the world as it stands right now. There are some outstanding changes that need to be made, but they are on the list and will happen organically as the month progresses. Or not.   World primer: work in progress

  I have a Discord sort of dedicated to my world. Current members are my test readers. I might open it up to others, but for now, the follow buttons, comment sections, and like buttons are yours - dear readers - to interact with. And please do!

* WEEK 3 *

  Inspirational fountains:
  • Real-world stunning environment pictures saved to an album on my phone
  • I feel like this could also count as a moldboard honestly
  • The works of Eddings, Rothfuss, and many more
  • Critical Role (Mighty Nein, Vox Machina, Bells Hells, EXU, as well as the books and campaign settings)
  • D&D lore
  • Video games like The Last of Us, Baldur's Gate, Fallout (yes, very different from my setting and genre but also - the STORYTELLING guys!)

* WEEK 4 *

  1. Find a community   I have joined Reddit, the WorldAnvil discord and harassed some of my friends into being test readers and players in strange one-shots with half-completed settings.
If you want to join an online community but can't find one, join our Discord server! Or, if you prefer, check out our Facebook group and Reddit community too! Use the #WEPrep hashtag on social media to join the conversation there.
  2. Plan your writing schedule   What is a schedule? It is inspiration, hastily written notes in bad places, rewritten at my computer when I should be doing something else. I know that if I set a schedule and my mental or physical health prevents me from following it I will be disheartened and give up. So I will go with the flow. If that's 5k words in the final week, then so be it.   3. Take a breath   Counting down, settling affairs, hoarding inspiration like a goblin. Bring on December 1st!
