King Kaepora

(a.k.a. The Harbinger)

King Kaepora is one of the fiercest kings to ever rule in Avagonus . His skill with sword and his signature bow are unparalleled. His leadership has also brought great prosperity to Featherfell and the Kingdom of Astraeus.

Personal history

• Growing up, King Kaepora was originally a prince of Kingdom of Astraeus along with his 3 brothers and two sisters
• When his father passed, the vacant seat for the throne was to be earned by force. Two of his brothers challenged him to a battle. The winner was to be crowned king
• The three brothers entered an arena. One brother killed the other, and dueled Prince Kaepora
• Kaepora held his brother to the ground at sword point and offered to spare his life if he backed down. His brother agreed before sweeping Kaepora's legs and lunging for his throat with a hidden blade
• Kaepora turned his brother's blade back into his stomach, killing his brother and crowning Prince Kaepora as the new king 

Mental Trauma

• King Kaepora lives with the guilt of killing his brother in battle, even though he offered to spare his brother's life, and his brother responded to that with a surprise attack

Morality & Philosophy

• King Kaepora believes that best offense is the best defense. He has raised a mighty army for his kingdom to prevent anything like The Dark Times  from happening again
• Evil has no place in his realm. Small crimes carry a high sentence, and perpetrators of big crimes do not get a second chance
• All must serve in order to be humbled. This means either military service or service to the kingdom
• Respect is earned. One it is earned, it is a great and sacred bond
• Hierarchy exists for a reason. Those at the top who have earned it, deserve it
• Good people are priceless. Bad people (murderers, rapists, etc) are worthless

• King Kaepora foresees an event similar to The Dark Times on the horizon. He will do anything to make sure his kingdom is prepared

Likes & Dislikes

• While usually very serious, owl jokes bring a very small smile to his face. After several of them in a row, he will go on a small tangent about how he loves those, then stop, excuse himself, and regain his demeanor
