Freydon
Freydon is the god of war, strength, and the sun in the Coristhian Faith. He is the brother of Tvurgir, the father of Brjótr, and the on-and-off lover of Leta.
Depictions and Epithets
Freydon is most commonly depicted as a strong masculine figure donned in heavy armor mounted on Bruninýta, his fire-breathing horse and wielding a sword. His face is concealed by a helmet in every epithet to show his domineering presence and fearsome stature. For his sun epithet, Rǫðufrey, which means "Freydon of Light", he holds an orb that represents the sun while standing beside Bruninýta instead of being mounted. One minute, yet important detail of Freydon's depictions is whenever he is mounted on Bruninýta, it is a symbol of aggression, while standing beside Bruninýta is a symbol of rest or peace.Origins
Freydon is the son of Sœri-Utna, the Prime of smithing and fire, who taught him how to fight. Unlike his brother Tvurgir, Freydon enjoyed the thrill of battle, and he was the only Coristhian who escaped the grasp of Dyrekkja when she attempted to kidnap them.Divine Domains
