The Dark Powers

The term “dark powers” usually refers generally to the forces of cosmic evil in the universe. When used as a proper noun however, it refers to the Thirteen Lords of Darkness, the powerful, god-like demon kings and queens who rule the realm of Nemesis and command the cosmic forces of darkness. Draxares, the treacherous ninth divine, sits at their head and is the only one of them who could truly be called a “god”. The Thirteen do not have spheres of influence over reality the way the Eight do, but they do have associations with certain monsters, afflictions, or evil impulses or practices.
