Principality of Quelleron

Quelleron is a small coastal principality which lies along the rugged northern shore of Austrolaria. It bears the unique distinction of being an independent New World colony, with no formal ties to any mother country. The principality was established by the celebrated adventurer Quelleros “Seadrake”, in 1423. Seadrake was the half-elven bastard of a Felderian prince and an elven mistress, who sailed to the New World with a group of followers and founded a city to be a refuge for misfits and outcasts such as himself. The old Seadrake’s still reigns as the state’s grand prince and has stubbornly defended the principality’s independence in the face of incursions by Lizardmen and the imperial powers.
In the century since its founding the principality has expanded and prospered, drawing immigrants from all walks of life and corners of the world. Many half-elves call Quelleron home, seeing it as one of the few places in the world where their kind truly fit in. Orcs, Lizardmen, and other peoples disparaged by Old World society have likewise found a place in the principality, making it one of the most eclectic and cosmopolitan places in the world. The capital city of Drakestown is a popular port of call for corsairs, privateers, and adventurers looking to make their fortune.
