Elementals

Elementals are another form of neutral outsider, native to the outer planes and almost never seen in the material world. They are creatures of pure elemental energy, the raw elemental forces of creation concentrated in sufficient quantities to develop a degree of sapience. Most elementals lack any sort of intelligence beyond the most basic animal instincts. This makes them popular servants for wizards, as they are both immensely powerful and relatively easy to control with magic. The strongest elementals, called djinn, possess both advanced intelligence and extensive magical abilities.
