Kitsune

A New Teniyama

A New Teniyama Yanna, the god of messages and wisdom throughout her days of sending and retrieving messages across the pantheon would leave her overwhelmed with the sheer magnitude of work to be done. As the Auroraverse expanded, so did the work, and so did the many requests seeking her favor. Things were manageable however, with the growing threat of the Akuyama(demonic yokai) they’d often interfere too frequently for her to get her work done efficiently.
Being a goddess meant she obviously couldn’t interact too heavily with the mortal realm so instead she’d create her champions to carry out her will and defend the dream realms from demonic Yokai. These messenger warriors were known as the Kitsune.
Yanna shaped the Kitsune, another subrace of the Teniyama, to look similar to her so her followers would know she has not abandoned them in their time of need. Though the Teniyama are always celestial, these ones in particular are celestial messengers whose goals were to deliver and were also responsible for delivering secret knowledge, boons and souls to the gods or mortals alike.

Wanderlust Warriors

As years and years went by delivering messages for Yanna, some Kitsune grew curious about the worlds they've seen through delivering messages. Those Kitsune yearned for adventure, they wanted to run around, and be free to explore all of the universe. However they’d be unable to deal with the World Serpent being subjugated by Pharika, goddess of Affliction. Pharika did so with the intention to balance the universe and not let chaos ensue, however with the recent rumblings, chaos is on the horizon with his return... As the World Serpent returns to the universe, and travel being nearly allowed across all planets, the Kitsune went to Yanna and begged her to let them explore the worlds they've seen, they begged for adventure.
Yanna was... hesitant at first but she eventually agreed and allowed each clan of Kitsune to pick one world each to stay and reside. To never leave to hopefully maintain balance in the universe and watch over them. Yanna also explained that she would remove their ability to travel to other worlds and she would always watch over them. However it is rumored that one clan didn’t necessarily choose a planet, but instead resided with Yanna in Aurora, the plane of echoes to take the fight to the Akuyama daily.

You know the Message cantrip.

Nine Tailed Enchantment
At 3rd level, you gain the charm person spell. You may use this spell once per long rest and upon using the spell as a reaction, you can choose to make them forget that you charmed them or magic was involved.

Shapeshifting
As an action you can transform into a Fox a number of times equal to your Proficiency bonus. You can stay in this form for 1 hour before reverting back to your original form. You can revert to your normal form earlier by using a bonus action on your turn. You automatically revert if you fall unconscious, drop to 0 hit points, or die. You regain all uses of this ability on a long rest.
