Yöll
Yöll is the near capital city of the Great Plains on the continent of Drei. Started as a small trading post, Yöll quickly grew to be the main trading hub for those passing over the öayd mountains.
History of Yöll:
During the 2nd Era, the nation of Drei sought to extend its reach beyond the mountains at the foot of the Old Woods. During this period, a great explorer, Cyrius Oäyd, completed the trek up and through the mountains. This feat of adventure was rewarded by the then lord Brey with Oäyd’s birthright as their nameplate. The first group to cross the mountains to settle followed the Iy river all the way down to the lake. Between the crooks of the lake was a cliffside, a small mountain that spiraled in a defensive pattern. From this natural wonder sprung a pit stop for every group to migrate across the Oäyd mountains. As groups continued to make their journey and guides created business to help others across, the city of YÖLL. As the city grew so did its farmland and trading centers.
To maintain the growing population, grains that drank water at an increased rate were brought from the old woods, produce such as apples and temperate fruits and roots, livestock such as muls (camel cows) sheep, and prairie pigs.
As pilgrimages continued through the Great Plains, YÖLL became the well-known capital of the vast flatland cornered between two mountain ranges. This importance drew unwanted attention from the nearby desert. The Great invasion started in the 419th Dawn of the 2nd Era. As the invasion hoped to strike the heart of the plains it was only foiled due to YÖLL’s defensible position.
This victory led to the creation of centralized government for the Great Plains. The people put together a vote, three families deemed honorable enough to lead the decisions of the Plains.
