Aurora Federation (AF)

The Aurora Federation is the economic and military powerhouse of Aurora. A multi-provincial Representative Democracy with a hybrid-socialist economy, it is located in the heart of Aurora and makes up just over 20% of Aurora's total landmass. It is also one of the oldest nation states, having been originally founded almost 2000 years ago as a small breakaway state from the faltering Three Kingdoms (the existing largest empire at the time). It is now Aurora's largest nation by area, population, and economic scale. It's claims to fame are it's diverse provincial populaces; stable and fair economic and social systems; its cybersecurity developments and contributions to the First AI Revolution, and more. As of 2025 A.D., Aurora is headed by Premier Sven Kriss.

The AF is considered the backbone of Aurora and the United Continental Council (Aurora's version of the UN) due to its size, its provisioning of security and cybersecurity technology continent-wide, and its military and social contributions to the UCC and internationally. Because of this, other nations have accused or become wary of Aurora's dominance over international affairs and policies. Some nations warn its size means that a potential political shift in the AF could pose a future threat; while others such as Novrisk and Etrusia are already feeling the effects of their much larger neighbor's abilties.

Another quirk and sticking point of the Federation is its system of Private Governmental Organizations (PGOs) and Private Priveleged Organizations (PPOs) -- governemnt-based or government-funded organizations that can act autonimously with less or little bureaucratic oversight. Even with the AF's efficient systems, it has still struggled with issues of bureacratic intricacies and "red tape." To combat this, the Aurora Federation has established PGOs and PPOs to help with national security, foreign military and humanitarian aid, and other use cases. Examples of these are the Aurora Security Conglomerate (ASC), the Aurora Defense Coalition (ADC), the Aurora Special Operations Service (ASOS), etc. While they have proven effecient and effective, there have been cases where the lessened oversight has caused political upheaval domestic and abroad -- such as these organizations disobeying government mandates, operating without proper clearance, or even quarreling with one another.

Erilis Sovereignty (ES)

The Erilis Sovereignty is a Constitutional Executorship located on the Continental Northwest coast of Aurora.

Etrusia

Etrusia (also known as the Etrusian Republic) is a Federated Republic along the Continental West coast of Aurora. One of the most recent formed nations in Aurora (formed in 1736 A.D.), the Etrusian Republic is the unification of all eight of the traditionally tribal Etrusian provinces in the region. While a modernized nation, Etrusia still holds on to some of its tribal roots, seen in its cultural celebrations and political struture. However, in many provinces, the deeper tribal traditions and heirarchies have become a relic or formality, but its effects on the country can still be felt today.

Etrusia is also Aurora's hub for food production and solar energy, and has a booming AI industry. Although recovering from a civil war in 2020 and a switch from a monarchial republic to a full republic, it is still the third largest nation in Aurora and has the 4th largest economy. It's current head of state (as of 2025) is Aurelius Cascadia, III; with its formerly deposed monarch, Cavrus Axsius Velos, remaining as a politically benign public figure.

Novrisk

Novrisk is an Enterprisal Aristocracy located on the Continental East coast of Aurora. (...)

A former representative democracy, Novrisk's former government was toppled by the Novrisk Corporate Security (NCS) forces, a private military company (PMC) led by the corporate conglomerate <<placeholder_comp>>. <<placeholder_comp>> subsequently established a new government system where Novrisk's various corporations held the voting power, instead of the civilians. In Novrisk, a company's Voting Index (VI) is determined by its profitability and share prices.
