Wandering NPCS Character in Aurea | World Anvil

Wandering NPCS

The below characters are those that are most likely to be found...wandering Aurea. Some of them due to wanderlust, and some because they're just really, really lost.

Atticus Aurelianus (Spellslinger Wizard/Arcanist/Eldrich Archer/Pistolorio Gunslinger)
The former mayor of Aurelian Atticus took over being mayor to Aurelian after Ambrosius Aurelianus and the town charter was redone. He is not well known for his brains and very little of the population trust him to watch a rock. However he was still learning the ropes of the office after originally just being a kid who had a cushy job as a deputy because his daddy was Mayor.
Needless to say, the loss of the city Aurelian has not helped his case...
Character Sheet

Aloris (Gunemtal Dragoness)
The reddish brass dragon, or 'The Gunmetal Dragoness' as she would call herself. Chaotic Neutral, leaning towards good. She smells like a dying fire and is 'huge' by default. Her dam was a brass dragon, she was created by less than consensual means via her dam having an encounter with Cynorys the Red Dragon, who lairs to the north alongside his mate. She's the only survivor of her litter. She has a delicate crown of horns on her head and a few razor sharp spines along her neck.

Alharaz Brightpollen. From the rat catchers of Rosilia to the rebel grunts in Azoa and far beyond, most have heard of this gnome businessman/noble. Tales of his savvy, acumen, and generous heart are only rivalled by his supposed villainous deeds, devilish connections, and blackhearted disregard for all others. While few can claim to have met him face to face, almost everyone has likely purchased something that one of his numerous businesses have produced. In fact, through many business dealings (legal or otherwise), he controls a majority share of most markets via shell companies or proxies.
Of course the tales about him, either good or bad, can't all be true. Some of them even say that he's died by the hands of adventurers, but none can agree how, or who exactly did the deed. But all agree that his personality is always larger than life, and his methods nigh inscrutable.
One thing is for certain though, put three people in a room together and you'll have at least three different tales of his exploits (and possibly a fight). Currently his endeavours include buying up the workhouses around Aurelia, He currently owns The Brenin Clwyfedig home located in Anfortas, The Alharaz workhouse located in Aurelian, The dragonspire orphanage located in the Hamlet, Marina's workhouse located in Erasil and The fertile flames temple for the lost located in Erasil also. It's said the children are well provided for while learning life skills for the future.

Finnegan Badd ('Halfling', Cleric of Pharasma)
Formely of the council of Anfortas, Finnegan recently retired to be with his wife Astra, leaving his sort of ward Danfel Chambers to take his seat on the council. The cleric of Pharasma seems to have barely aged during the time he's been in Anfortas...
Occasionally the pair can be found wandering the seas on one final adventure.

Astra Badd (Half-Orc Bloodrager/Barbarian)
A powerful and motherly woman, rumour has it that half of Anfortas' Harbourmasters and Councilmen are mildly terrified of Astra Badd. A Viking to her core, and deeply dedicated to there faith and ideals, she is a dedicant of the Black Butterfly. She has 'adopted' a number of children and slightly less responsible adventurers, much to her husbands occasional disagreement.
Growing older, she and her husband are enjoying one final adventure exploring the seas and oceons of Aurea, finding secrets long forgotten and never known...

Doc Chopper, also known as Stan S. Stanman
A traveling Mi-Go Doctor, Information and Weapons Specialist, he's one of the only interplanetary traders that will work with the mortals from Aurea. He uses the soul of a car's salesman to speak truespeech and will often barter with adventurers.

Khors (Solar Angel, Sorcerer/Oracle, Herald of the Hummingbird)
Khors who escaped from the fairy king. The one who follows the moon. The walking target who is noticed by all. He who has laid with both gods of good and bad. He who was the Light of Sarenrae is now the Light and Herald of Huitzilopochtli and Solar angel.

Miz'ri Faen Tlabbar (Dashing Thief Swashbuckler/Vox Mesmerist)
The infamous thief Miz'ri Faen Tlabbar has stolen everything worth stealing, and quite a lot that wasn't.

  Marr - Planar Wanderer
A Cecaelias man who wanders the planes completely at random. When out of water he uses Alter Self to have two legs.

  Remy the Stout (Gunslinger/Barbarian)
Terrifyingly powerful, Remy the Stout is famous (or infamous) across Aurea. This is mainly because he believes the entirety of the Aurea is his 'yard', and he does not take trespassers lightly. He typically carries a broom as a weapon, believing it to be his old musket, and yet he has destroyed at least one fortress with the weapon, despite it refuses to fire.
Roman Tai (Druid/Fighter)
He was adopted by a friendly dwarf. The boy has the yellow sign on his forehead. He has tall tail signs of purple iris' eyes. He is currently learning to be less wild and feral. Rumors speak of the idea he came from a abandoned floating city. That may have recently fell from the sky.

Ruby- A young women teifling whom is starting a family. Her husband is an adventurer much to her dismay.

The Time Thief, Xyqilab
A rogue Aevarut Inevitable that sells drugs and time related items and objects, he often can be found by wandering the alleyways of Aurelian. Gained true sentience when it crashed into Aurea pre-barrier. Often deals in large quantities of money, but also time - which he will cash in when he feels it necessary.

Grixus (Necromancer)
The farmer whom used to own a run down flower shop and farm in the hamlet has moved from the hamlet to somewhere else, no is sure where yet as he hasn't put up a new bounty for his chicken problem yet. When he does it certainly will be interesting to see where the undead chicken problem pops up.

The Four Fuck-Ups - An adventuring party with secretly a lot of chemistry, but they often bicker with each other over absolute nonsense. They make a great NPC Squad for a GM who want a previous party who had failed the quest that the new party is going on.
Lord Myrix Falcor XVI
- An Elven Chelaxian Noble, now a Cleric/Warpriest of Erastil. Pompous, high elf nobility who is quite intelligent and likes to flaunt that fact. Although he used to have high nobility, he lost it all when he was 'executed' for freeing elven slaves during the Chelaxian-Absalom Conflict. Is married to Sofia - it's complicated.

Sofia Of The Gator Tribe
- A Russian Scaleheart Soldier, now a Druid/Shaman who hails from the Gator Tribe. She was in active service in the USSR's Special Forces during the events of Die! Rasputin! Die!. She is a big follower of the Lwa and is a gruff lady of few words. She is married to Myrix and is pretty much the only one who can tolerate him.

Felix Le Courte
- A French Grippli Pirate from The Golden Era of Piracy. Felix was a Barbarian/Swashbuckler that used to be on the crew of Olivier Levasseur in the 1710s. His rage issues and the fact that he was a living parody contributed to the reason why he wasn't saved when the La Louise sank in a storm in 1718. He owes Sofia and Fiver a life debt, but often complains about it.

Fiver
- A Rabbitfolk from The Feywilds on Ebberon. He operates as a Oracle/Arcanist under the direction of THE ENTIRETY OF The Seelie Court - so his head is often quite preoccupied with a peanut gallery commenting on the strange plane of Aur. This explains his often timid and quiet nature. He saved Felix from The Abyss during the party's stint in The Blood Clefts.
