Izzy
One of the four "main characters" of TBD RPG.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Izzy was the sheltered child of wealthy lords. His parents' union was an arranged marriage, and while they accepted their families' wishes, the two had an awkward relationship and spent most of their time apart. Their child became equally awkward.
Izzy's mother and father had little time for him. Most of his social interactions were with his maids and butlers.
At the time of the , Izzy's mother and father acknowledged their poor parenting and planned a nice family trip to reconnect with one another. Since they were travelling anyway, they were all swept up by the thrill of adventuring the Lost Island. Izzy had a knack for it, but his parents didn't. They died. Oops.
Izzy's extended family swooped in to claim all of his riches and property and didn’t leave him a copper. When these family members “asked” for official consent to take control of the estate (“for his own good” because he was “too young”), Izzy was unable to speak or communicate “no" to them, paralyzed by anxieties. They took advantage of this to steal everything from under his nose.
Since then, he's been a homeless rogue.

Speaking to shopkeepers is often too overwhelming for them, so they prefer just stealing what they need. Their thieving started out of necessity, but hey.

Terrible at communicating with NPCs. If they try, there's a high chance they'll get a "silence" debuff. Talks to party members minimally.
However, their resistance to speaking makes them impossible to break in an interrogation.

As someone with social anxiety, I relate to the shopkeeper thing. Though without the stealing. Izzy sounds like a really interesting character - I like them! :D
