Cosmology and Metaphysics

Is your world and/or its interstellar surroundings part of the known universe, or is it (in) its own universe?
  • Aublions solar system is located within our universe, in the Milky Way galaxy. It is about halfway through the Carina-Sagittarius arm, on the outer leftmost edge.
Is your universe a conventional one: are there planets, solar systems, galaxies? How do they interact? Or does it differ significantly from ours; is it a disc, a hollow world etc.? Does the concept of a planet not apply at all, perhaps because your world is the centre of the universe?
  • The setting being the Milky Way in our current universe, it is safe to say the setting is more or less conventional. Aublion shares its spacial territory with 12 other planets, in a Big Bang created, divinely inhabited, S-type non circumbinary solar system. The neighboring planets are called Helade, Meishan, Zu’yebos, Ozillon, Iutera, Sui’tanur, Crichi, Dachnof, Getis, Biuq, Uderth, and Thypso, and are lightly inhabited and colonized by other alien races. Aublion is the most densely populated, due to being comfortably within the Habitable Zone of their solar systems dual stars.
Is there a connection between our reality and that of your world, e.g. a parallel or an alternate universe?
  • Earth's reality, and Aublions reality are one in the same due to being on the same plane of existence/in the same universe.
How was the world created? Was it an astrophysical event like the Big Bang, or the work of cosmic entities, like Gods? Was it a combination of both?
  • Aublions creation hailed originally from the Big Bang, and shortly after, from the death of a First Era god (name lost to time) , whos “body” collided with the newly formed molten planet, and was absorbed into its core. Although the seed containing uncontained mana was planted after the crust started forming, the planet remained stone cold, lifeless and uninhabited until the birthed sentience of the Second Era godesses, Pelonris, Untrei, Yulrec, and Ferjn.
Are there supernatural powers like magic or telepathy? What are the sources of such powers?
  • Magic is very very prevalent on Aublion due to the planets core basically being a Vessel, containing the trapped essence of an ancient dead god. Throughout the ages, it's slowly become more and more looked into (and confirmed by Celestial Vessels) that the god that collided with the planet originally, is slowly being brought back to consciousness, reborn due to the reverence shown to them by the planets inhabitants, and the ties every Sadrid shares with the planet through their magic present at birth and Soluanas they create.
Are there alternate planes of existence, like parallel dimensions, a ghost world, the warp? How do they differ from each other?
  • The only currently known alternate plane of existence in this universe is Aetherus, the planar home of the First Era angelic gods Aether, and Majora Asteromous. Aetherus contains and homes several species of angels who were descended from the first gods turned angels who refused to join the Order, and were subsequently enslaved. This plane is incredibly hard to access, and is ferociously guarded by the gods who rule that plane. Angels however, may, and have left Aetherus, and gone to other planets outside their plane of existence to explore.
Are there Gods, beings who are able to significantly influence or alter reality? Are they almighty or at least so powerful that the world’s inhabitants can only comprehend them as Gods? Are they still there or have they stopped manifesting? Is it possible to meet them?
  • Yes. The significant godly figures on Aublion are the Pantheon of the Celestials, and their counterparts, the Unders Court. Both sets of beings are early Second Era gods, and came into creation around the same time. They are considerably powerful due to this, and are incredibly active within their spheres of influence. They hold the power to create lower godly beings, and have done so from their Vessels, or other followers of theirs that they deem fit to handle a role of such power.
  • Balrux, Sylvrn, and Kalfris are some examples of once mortals who have been elevated to godly status through their divine blessings. Through proper ritual summons at the gods temple, and prior dedications being acknowledged, there is a chance to meet the god you are summoning, albeit in a very diluted or otherwise minor form, to preserve the summonee from being vaporized from the power naturally emitted.
