Moongazers

Description

Moongazers are people obsessed with the beauty of Atociterea's sky. Namely numerous moons orbiting the Solkerror alongside Atocitera.
The interactions between all these moons used to have unforeseen effects on the ever changing ecosystems of the The Ground below. Thanks to the monitoring of moons, and the endless effort of Observant, these random interactions are being mapped out.

Practices

By watching the periodic movements of the Solkerors moons, the Moongazers are connected to different methods of measurement to accurately predict certain events in nature that would easily be missed when comparing them to Atocitera's calendar.
The possibilities of such connections

Goal and services

What started purely as a hobby evolved into a professional measuring alternative to the Atocitera calendar. Combined with the notes from observers, the Moongazers are able to point events to occurrences in the sky and the interactions between moons. The repeated events are then marked out and mapped. No longer being a surprise.   Raiders love knowing beforehand if there is some divergence to the pattern they are accustomed to. While some Raiders do not need these warnings due to their adaptability, some less flexible ethnicities need every advantage they can get to prevent losses from sudden surprises.

Friends and enemies

While everyone loves having extra predictability in the events surrounding Atocintera, people hate watching people slacking around, watching the sky.
Due to this, the Moongazers are often frowned upon, while their work is being credited to the already undervalued observers.   In order to have free hand Raiders indulging in moongazing often do so after tiring training with weapons. During such free time, which Raiders use for recovery and rest, the Moongazers tend to lie down and pretend to be resting. While in fact, they are taking notes of the movements of the moons.
