Flow Dimension

When you see it for the first time you would not believe your eyes.
It is like being part of the night sky, with Flow being the stars.   It is easy to get lost there, easier to never return.
And if you meet the riders, you will be happy to get our of there even if it put you miles above ground in midair.
-Wanderer explaining the Flow Dimension

Description

Parallel to the material and physical world is the Flow Dimension, a place where the raw Flow resides in its full power, and a place from which it influences the world.   It has its own set of dangers and is by far not easy or safe to navigate. Its main use lies either in traveling or in the detection of the dangerous streams of Flow.

Entering

Anyone who decides to enter the Flow Dimension is called a wanderer.
Wandering into the Flow Dimension requires access to Veil Flow. Be it in form of crystals or a direct stream.   Travel does not happen instantly, instead, it is a transition from the physical world into the Flow Dimension.
The speed of transition depends on the focus of the wanderer and the amount of Veil Flow available. An involuntary wanderer who transitions to Flow Dimension due to direct exposure to Veil Flow can disappear almost instantly.
The deeper wanderer goes, the less they will be affected by the physical laws and the more they will be affected by the Flow Dimension.

Inside the Flow Dimension

From the first moment, as the transition starts, the wanderer's vision will start transitioning while slowly getting translucent and transparent until they eventually disappear.
Normal people looking through the wanderer can see inside the Flow dimension as if the wanderer was a window to it.   The wanderer can see both the physical world and Flow Dimension as if overlapping. Depending on where they are in the transition process, the closer they are to the physical world or Flow Dimension, the more clear it will be visible until they get fully into one, at which point the other won't be visible at all.   The more the wanderer transitions into the Flow Dimension, the less the physical laws will affect them. Gravity is the most noticeable, which is the main reason wanderers go to Flow Dimension - to travel from one Atocite to another. To do this, the wanderer usually only partially transitions. Enough to be able to counter the influence of gravity with their own willpower thanks to being partially influenced by the laws of the Flow Dimension.   The Flow Dimension appears as a pitch-black space without any laws natural to the physical one.
The only thing visible and present in the Flow Dimension is the Flow, which becomes fully visible, and being the only thing present in this dimension makes the Flow visible over any distance.   Anyone or anything inside the Flow Dimension can see each other. There is no ground, mountains, or any masses to prevent movement once fully transitioned.
Wanderers often partially transition in order to see the Flow in the world around themselves, sometimes even detecting beasts and monsters.

Dangers

Being inside the Flow Dimension is not safe by far. Depending on how deep into it one wanders, they will be subjected to the following dangers.   Flow:
The more one wanders into the Flow Dimension, the stronger will be the direct contact with Flow. Each Element poses its own dangers.
Transitioning by using the Veil Flow could easily get out of hand. The residual Flow gained by continuous exposure to it is getting stronger the more the wanderer transition. This might result in wanderers gaining so much residual Veil Flow that they will never be affected by the Void shrine to get rid of it.   Lack of focus and losing oneself:
Once the laws of the physical world stop affecting the wanderer, the wanderer needs to focus on themselves to stay intact. Stray thoughts and lack of focus could cause the wanderer to dissipate in the Flow Dimension similarly as the Flow dissipates in the physical world.   Flow riders:
Flow Riders are beasts evolved in a way to ride on the Flow streams and hunt by transitioning to the physical world and back. They are always present in the Flow Dimension, causing them to be sort of guardians of the place. They take intrusions so seriously, that being spotted by them is only a matter of time before wanderers get under overwhelming attack.   Leaving in wrong places:
Wanderer that fully transitions into the Flow Dimension bypasses the natural boundaries of the physical world.
Due to this, they can transition into the physical world partially or completely trapped in-ground, trees, or anything else.
This becomes especially dangerous during emergency escapes from Flow Riders.

Leaving

The wanderer can leave the Flow Dimension easily by focusing on expunging the Veil Flow from their body. But caution needs to be taken. If they transitioned completely, they could have ended up in a place that is dangerous in the physical world. Ending the transition midair where there is no Atocite or ground under you could be the faster death. Pain caused by ending transition inside some material and ending up partially trapped is often enough to prevent wanderer from focusing and getting out of the trouble. In case they got completely trapped, they tend to be dead on the spot.   Atocites often have designated places for accepting wanderers. because the first few times wanderers traveled between Atocites ended up in misunderstanding and conflict.   Depending on the level of transition, the presence of the wanderer could be noticeable for the whole time. However, a wanderer appearing from the Flow Dimension after complete transition looks like space itself ripping apart, forming a humanoid shape through which the pitch-black darkness of Flow Dimension could be seen, slowly getting its original look again.

Aftereffects

Even after the traveling is finished the Wanderer is not safe. Residual Veil Flow makes them still partially present in the Flow Dimension. This can result in increasing minimal levels of transition, never being able to be completely part of the physical world without being "one foot in" the Flow Dimension. Only visit of Void Shrine and complete cleansing of the Veil Flow can help.
