Fengari
Fengari are the children of Luna, and by extension Asena.
The progenitor of their race is Luna, the mother of all. The first to herald the gifts of wolves, yet wear the skin of man. These blessings received through birthright. The tale goes that Asena had come to commune with a man named Remus.
To them, the bravest, and most honorable of their species, the great Wolf Spirit had been wounded in battle against the mighty thunder bird, Thor. Seeking sanctuary was the spark, Remus' nurturing care was what brought a fan to the flames and ignited a blaze.
Days, and nights went by, until Asena would one day leave, yet they were forever changed. Both entities sharing themselves and learning of the other. It was unprecedented, and nothing would be the same afterwards.
Their union brought about the unique entity that was Luna. Powerful, Savage, Beautiful, Unnatural and above all- Free.

Civilization and Culture
History
Luna lived long, and through her gifts foster a new people. At the behest of her mother, and with permission this is truly how the Fengari would begin. A Kingdom under the chosen. It would flourish for centuries under the careful eye, and might of the first ever Fengari.
Upon the passing of Luna from this world as all things do one day, there was a descent into turmoil. Where the Fengari would succumb to their savagery and turn on another. Countless battles broke out, blood was shed, and it did not seem as though it would ever stop.
That is- until the Silver Wolf, Asena would descend once more on a land they had chose to leave in the care of their offspring. It's state diminished, and disarray spreading like calamity. Enraged by this, to see what had become of the people who were extensions of their very own form misusing the gifts they received to slaughter each other, they deemed it required intervention.
Their intervention came in the form of a choice. One that to this day is said to be iron-clad. Lest the wrath of the Silver Wolf be unleashed to rain down upon them.
From those who battled, Asena would observe. She waited, bided her time. To see who would come out ontop. Watching the blood shed, and pour. Asena chose among them the strongest, and it has been the decree ever since, that they would rule. The chosen were to be known as "Luna's Family", and given the surname of Au Fenris by the Silver Wolf herself. Whether it was true that they were the one true blood relatives of Luna was not to be discussed. For in the eyes of their patron- their strength was reminiscent of their daughter, and it was the necessary quality that would forever tether the Kingdom of the Fengari together for now, and until the end of days.
Unified as a people after this, the Fengari have embraced this choice, and there's a strong sense of national pride within them all. The strength of their rulers is a beacon that they hope to reflect, and emulate.
Expansive Guide to Fengari:
- Man, and Women borne of Luna, who is the child of Asena. Luna, is the result of Remus- a human, and Asena the great Wolf Deity, sometimes referred to as a spirit, other times as a God, they're terms it has never sought to correct, confirm, nor deny.
- Fengari is their racial name, as well a word in their native tongue. Werewolf, or Moonshifter is what it means.
- The Fengari are spiritually inclined. Their connection with Asena is one that persists to this day, despite the physical absence of their patron deity. This connection provides them with a list of benefits that are what separate them from humanoid image that is the result of Remus' part in their lineage.
- The Fengari people operate under the rule of a Dynasty. The ruling family known as the Au Fenris. A name given by Asena upon their second coming when they erected the dynasty centuries prior. Something that continues even now.
Asena's blessings, and boons:
- Regeneration/Healing Factor - Fengari benefit from the vitality of the Silver Wolf greatly. Their life force is volatile, and boundless. It's projected in such a direct way that they are known to be able to regenerate from wounds, injuries, and even regrow limbs thanks to the connection to Asena. Regeneration varies amongst the Fengari. The young, and inexperienced who have yet to experience life and temper their connection to Asena heal slower than veteran Fengari, or those who have become more traveled, and knowledgeable throughout their lives. (I.E,: The older the better it is)
- Immortality - The Fengari in their seclusion are imagined to be simply long-lived, and not immortal. Such isn't the case. Coupling with their ability to regenerate, Asena's continued blessing provides them with a state of agelessness past a certain point. They are those who possess claws, and fangs that will never dull. The hunt is eternal, and so- they are as well. Upon reaching the prime of their adulthood, their apex point there seems to be a halt in further progression. To any outsider, who somehow bears witness to the same Fengari centuries later, it would either appear they are immortal, or that they really just don't spread out the gene pool...
- Auric Attunement - Aura is the supernatural phenomenon in which the potent, internal energy that comes from the soul and is manifested as a powerful force on the outside of their bodies. It is Asena's strangest of blessings, and perhaps their only true unintended one. What it means for the Fengari as a people is that all of them are capable of tapping into the foundations of their very souls. Through such contact, their sense of perception increases; sight, smell, hearing, empathy.
