Dwale

Artist - Katy Wood - Artstation.com

Dwale is known to be one of the most toxic plants in Valsgard. One that is often utilized by the forest dwelling peoples for a number of reasons. It is most often used in hunting settings. It can be used to tip arrows, it can be used to set traps for small animals. Dwale has even been used as ritual purposes to bring users to a death like state where they can commune with the gods to receive divine insight. It can be distilled and used as in potion making and even used in the art of poisoncraft.   Due to its natural habitat being in the forests, the Valsgardi are not very familiar with the plant, with the exception of the Seidrkin, and the Woodswalkers. Its cultivation and useage is strongest with the Foukka, however the Eldblud, and Alfir were also known to use it in their medicines and religious rituals.   In Ringvolstad, the Eldblud Apotekari, Zawi, keeps a few large bushes on her roof top gardens. She keeps their existence quiet with the only exception being the young Urchin girl, Awazi. She is in the very early stages of training in the ways of Apotekari. Dwale is the main ingredient in the potent poison known as The Kiss, that is produced in secret by Zawi for The Whisperers.
