The Absense Myth in Atir-Namorn | World Anvil

The Absense

This does not put any hindrance on the powers of the followers of gods (such as clerics and paladins), and any person may follow any god.
There is no direct intervention by the gods here.   It has not been allowed since the birth of this universe, at least not since the death of its creator deity.   In the beginning, there was only a great void of darkness and absence of all. The universe had yet to fully come into existence and only ancient beings from time immemorial found themselves ever treading through the emptiness as they traversed the planes of existence and nothingness—they themselves are cut from a different cloth than other beings of existence.   In a different plane where the existence of gods is irrefutable and apparent to all, there was a great battle. During this battle, a mortally wounded god of spacetime departs from their universe and takes shelter in the void, using the last of its strength to erect a barrier between its old universe and this one.   It is with the spilling of their ichor, however, that the universe begins to come into being—the first cycle of death and birth beginning with the last god to ever find themselves in the universe.   As the final breath rattled from the lips of the god of spacetime, Atir-Namorn was formed.
