Changeling (ch-ay-ge-ling)

Changelings are an unusual species with the ability to alter their physical form. Naturaly, they appear pale and glossy, but they can alter this form at will. When disguised, they can appear as a member of any other humanoid species. They can change their height, weight, gender, skin tone, hair, facial features, and any other traits needed to convincingly transform. This alteration is biological, not magical, fuling the theory that the changelings are not native to Athyll.

Basic Information

Anatomy

When not disguised, changelings have pure white skin, hair, and eyes. Their skin is covered with a thin layer of oil that disapears when disguised. When changing form, they can alter their hight by up to a couple feet, as well as their weight. Their apperance changes to any form the changling desires, so long as it is humanoid. Generally, they can only take the apperance of a person they've seen before, and they can not grow aditional limbs. These disguises are highly convincing, though not perfect, as small inconsistencies can apper under close inspection.

Ecology and Habitats

The origin of the changeling is unknown even to them. However, their abnormal DNA leads one to believe that they did do not come from Athyll. Rather, it is theorised that they originated from another planet, and they ended up on Athyll by mistake.
