Viela, Mourning Maiden

Viela is a distant, numb goddess that presides over all things cold in life: winter and ice, the sharp feeling of loss, and memories, especially of departed loved ones. She is often prayed to for guidance shortly after a loved one dies, but also for protection from the harshness of winter.
Several sects of clergy serve Viela, varying from location to location. In Vengard, the Sisters of Mourning serve the Mourning Maiden from the White Garden, where they soothe ailing minds with the power of the Ghost Lily and their Lamplighter Bees. All peoples know the pain of loss and memory, and so Viela's presence can be found anywhere.
