Adanoth, The Fallen One

Adanoth is the elusive god of water, secrets, knowledge (of the occult and esoteric), darkness, time and fear. It is said that, at some point in the past, Adanoth was a more benevolent, giving god. However, he discovered a terrible secret which is said to have broken his mind causing his "fall." Since then, he has been a more predatory, selfish god.
Followers of Adanoth can be found in all places, using mortals' secrets against them. Many come to him in desperation or loss, for Adanoth is a god of many secrets. Many believe they are serving a different being or purpose entirely, manipulated by him or his closest followers.
