Rogue Divines

Rogue Divines are celestial beings who have been deeply impacted by the departure of the Gods. These Divine groups were bound to a God's domain and with them gone have lost the majority of their control and now seek to only enact the will of the God who has now since left.
This leads to celestial creatures leaving Rifts to the Celestial planes to try and enforce the God's will upon mortal kind. However, their unguided goals are often twisted. A Rogue Divine who once followed Barum (The God of Protection) may see a farmer who slaughters his animals for meat as failing to protect a weaker creature and hunt him down out of sinnful venegence.
Stronger Rogue Divines can become leaders to lesser Celstials in these regards. The Lesser Celestials follow the greater, viewing them as the potential for becoming a new God. These stronger ones are less mindlessly driven, but still have the twisted sense of justice. As another example, a Greater Rogue who followed Illion (The God of Knowledge) may direct a host of lesser celestials against a library that charges for entry, believing that knowledge should be free for all, to attack the owers rather than mindlessly slaying all inside.
