Wianis (vianɪʃ)

The Kingdom of Wianis (Wianishi : ) is a monarchy located in the northwestern part of Milea. It is has gained most of its renown during the rapid expansion during the years of the Daya Dynasty. Such feat was accomplished by the dedication of its society and caused a shift in the mentality of its original and conquered citizens.

Funeral Ritual

When an honored member of the Wianishi society passes away, a special ceremony will be held. These individuals may include: an high priest, a military commander or a ruler. This ritual is to ensure one's safe passage to the Spirit's Rest and to keep Saohr's influence at bay.

In the captial of Nizhny Koroli, hunderds of people gather at a giant plaza called 'The Final Toll'. In the middle of this plaza hundereds of offerings have been gethered as a final gratitude to the individual. The ritual starts with the 'Angels of Death' carrying and placing the body into the centre of the plaza. When they have left, the spiral trecnhes will be lit on fire. It slowly burns its way towards the body. Then the offerings and the entire stake will be lit on fire. With this the body will be cremated and it ashes spread in the ocean.
