Pheratadth

The desolate land of Pheratadth was once a beautiful forest named Pherath, but that all changed when the dark god Yhagkca cursed the land and turned its inhabitants into that of snarling bastardisations of their original forms, although some say that this action may have humbled these peoples and made them less violent. The elves became the orcs, the fey became the goblins, the dragons became the kobolds, the hyenas became the gnolls, and the dwarves became the duergar. The geography of the land was also altered due to this, with the beautiful plains becoming scorched by rivers of lava, the mountains erupting with magma, and the trees falling to ash.

Geography

Pherath was a beautiful land of temperate climate, its mountains being a beautiful addition to the skyline, the plains of flowing grass, and trees that could only add to the landscape. But when Yhagkca, the Abhorrent Hound, invaded the mortal plane through Pherath it was corrupted, becoming the modern land of Pheratadth, a wasteland of volcanoes, lava rivers, and common ash storms. One of the most dangerous parts of the land rests within the center, supposedly where Yhagkca stepped through from the Scorched Pits, as a volcano with no top, named the Kraichyan, or in modern orcish, the Mountain of Hatred.

Fauna & Flora

Pherath was home to the fey, garnering the nickname of the Feywild, but was also plagued with dragons, of which the elves and dwarves would seek to bring to justice. Of course, however, the dark god Yhagkca would step through into the mortal plane, corrupting the land of Pherath. Now Pheratadth only contains bastardisations of those once beautiful creatures, orcs, goblins, kobolds, gnolls, and so on.
