Golian
Guardians of the Sacred Mountains
Massive creatures of living stone, the Golian are brought to life from the earth itself through a birthing ritual unknown to those outside their race. They value honor and loyalty above all else, and avoid deception of every kind. Because of their dedication to truthfulness, they are often seen as humorless and simple-minded by other races. Nevertheless, these qualities also make them trusted allies to those who understand their simple ways.

Growth Rate & Stages
Little is known about the Golians' early life stages, which are shrouded in secrecy. They are never encountered outside their sacred mountains until at least the age of 10, at which point they appear for all intents to be fully mature. They age very little physically over the ensuing years, and instead seem to expend a finite amount of stored energy until finally settling into lifeless repose, once this power is fully depleted.
Additional Information
Geographic Origin and Distribution
The Golians' homeland lies in the high ranges that bear their name, just north of the center of the continent. They rarely settle far from there, and no other large population of their kind is known to exist elsewhere in the world.
Civilization and Culture
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Golians are very protective of their sacred mountain homeland, and often find themselves at odds with the always-roaming Humans who encroach upon them. They also have an ancient enmity with the Eldren, though the reason for this is not widely known. Their main antagonists, however, are the Elementals who vie with them for the divine essence which gives them both life.
