Rogue Crimson
In Atera there is a very odd and uncommon hair coloration. While it is found all over Atera the highest concentration is on Jiazera and in the central area. This uncommon hair coloration is natural and scientists are not sure what started it. Those that have the Rouge Crimson all have dark hair, either dark brown or black hair. However, when they reach puberty about midway through a section on the right side of their head turns stark white. Then over the next three years it goes from the white to a bright crimson color. It stays that way until death, even if they cut the hair. It will return the same way. This uncommon hair coloration follows family lines. In some lines it is only the males that inherit it. While in other family lines it is only the females that have it. They have found that if two people who have the Rouge Crimson have children all of their children are likely to have it.
While most of Jiazera either loves the Rouge Crimson, finds it cool, or just ignores it there are a few towns in the central north of Jiazera that will disown family members because of it.
History
First written instance of the Rogue Crimson comes comments made about folk tales from the central part of Jiazera. Paintings, frescoes and drawings of it have been found with people with the Rogue Crimson.
Cultural Reception
In a few of the northern central towns of Jiazera the Rogue Crimson is seen as rebellion. That you are or your ancestor was a trouble maker or brought shame to the family. Many of the older generation actively avoid those that have the Rogue Crimson. Some refuse to even talk to them, even if they are apart of their own family. While the towns and cities of south central Jiazera see the Rouge Crimson as a badge of honor and that you or your ancestor was a great warrior. Elsewhere on Jiazera and Atera people just think that it is cool or just an oddity.
