Egnau

Traveling in the south west of Jiazera through mountain ranged and then through a canyon you reach the city called Egnau. The sight of that greats you as you come through the long narrow canyon and enter into a wide flat land for miles. Gigantic cliffs surround the flat area. Expect there is one very large flat top hill close to the canyon entrance. It sits slightly left of center of the landscape almost looking like a guard protecting the flat landscape. As the hill sits in a strategic location between the only two entrances and exits of the area. The city Egnau is built on top of this strategic flat top hill. Around the hill are farms and a few ranches.

The city Egnau was built by a man named Egn. Egn was an exiled Prince from a nearby kingdom. When Egn was hiding from soldiers he found the flat hill top and found the ruins of an old keep and stayed there until it was safe. While he was there he talked to the farmers nearby he found that the keep was called Naeworth keep. They said that it was the final keep that had helped protect an ancient kingdom called Naeworth. The ruins were mostly just the stone foundations of several buildings. Around those buildings there is a wall then closer to the edge of the hill there is fragments of a defensive wall that at one point surrounded the whole hill.

After many years of living in the area Egn was able to gather the information and power needed to pull down those that ran him out of his kingdom. Once Egn had made sure that his kingdom was stable he returned. He worked with the people living there to establish a new fort to protect the area from intruders. Slowly the fort grew into a large trade hub between the two kingdoms. The ruins can still be found as the builders built and incorporated them into the city.

Now Egnau is a large trade city between two kingdoms. The farms and ranches surrounding it are part of the trade that comes in and out of the city. The city in return has protected the flat lands that surround it along with the people that live there.
