At the Fringe of Space

Inspiration comes in many forms, they say. While no source is more valid than any other, the inspiration for this world came about from a conversation I had with a friend. Soon enough it expanded into an episodic serial with focus into the backstories of the main characters.

Boreas ‘Black Dog’ Dante is a true alpha male of the group—not to be confused with the contemporary trends of today. Yes, he is a leader, and real symbol of strength and protection. He takes care of his own, provides whatever he can when he can. If he can’t, he finds a way to learn or to embrace ways to do so. As captain and a role model, he takes the time to know and understand his crew, to anticipate their needs and welcome their dreams.

However, he is not perfect. Neither are any of his crew. Their dynamics change and evolve over time and how they see each other and the universe at large reflects ever shifting sensibilities we all experience throughout life.

While some of their particular relationships may seem unique I believe they showcase some the challenges and hardships we all face.

Currently, I have rough outlines for 12 episodes with the first episode complete. I also have a number of character back stories well on their way.
