Brog Character in Asyur | World Anvil

Brog

Tattoos of Fate

Brog was tattooed heavily by a shaman at a young age. These tattoos supposedly told of his entire fate and destiny, although he couldn't ever read them he felt their guiding presence. Most were scarred over by his constant habit of cutting himself to engulf his halberd in flames.

Downhill From Here

Brogs last moments were filled with constant battle. Succumbing to filth fever in the moathouse dungeon after being taken down by a ghast. This would worsen upon unearthing an ancient crypt that had been sealed for over a decade, allowing bodies to decompose and ripen in the room.

Operation Last Ride

Brog would take an extensive amount of damage when he took the brunt of Utreshimon's lightning blast, causing his left hand (which was touching metal) to shrink and fall off, clinging to the metal part of his halberd.   After Operation Last Ride and the death of Utreshimon, Brog would pass out, and would be rushed to Hommlet by Eduardo Mangoseed. This would ultimately save Brogs life, just for a little while though. Healed by Canoness Y'dey, Brog and the rest of the Mercenaries of the Wheel would head to Verbobonc to train and hone their skills before attempting to retake the moathouse fully.

Death and Final Fight

Upon returning to the moathouse via a portal created by Burne the Wizard, a little over a month passed since almost dying in the dungeon below, Brog and the mercenaries would encounter a wooden barricade blocking the stairs. Immediately going to get rid of the barricade, the group was beset by gnoll archers serving the The Elder Elemental Eye. Upon getting rid of the barricade and entering the moathouse proper, the group would split up, Eduardo joining Brog in taking the right flank. This would go poorly as the two were forced to barricade themselves inside an old saloon and would quickly find themselves beset by 6 gnolls and cultist assassin Chatrilon Unosh. Defending the doorway after their own barricade had fallen, Brog would succumb to yet another disease, this one being fatal, cackle fever. Not long after fully passing from the disease, Eduardo himself would contract it from the very same gnoll and soon after would be slain by Chatrilon.
