Durxum's Domain

Durxum's Domain is a notoriously dangerous stretch of ocean just above the Xublouze Archipelago, named after the legendary pirate king Durxum, an undefeated Orc chieftain who once ruled the seas with ruthless efficiency. The waters here are treacherous, with sudden storms, powerful whirlpools, and jagged reefs that make navigation nearly impossible for all but the most skilled sailors. It is said that Durxum's spirit still haunts these waters, ensuring that only the worthy can pass through unscathed. Orc sailors, following their ancestral traditions, face these deadly seas as part of their coming-of-age ritual, testing their bravery, endurance, and skill. Those who survive are considered full-fledged warriors, blessed by Durxum himself. Points of Interest:   The Maw of Durxum – A massive whirlpool located at the heart of Durxum's Domain, the Maw is feared by all who sail these waters. Legend says this is the final resting place of Durxum's flagship, a colossal warship laden with treasure, sunken by the pirate king himself to prevent it from falling into enemy hands. The Maw is a crucial part of the Orc sailors’ coming-of-age ritual, as young Orcs must navigate close to the whirlpool without being sucked in, testing their skill and bravery. Some say the Maw occasionally spits up ancient treasures from Durxum's hoard, tempting daring adventurers to risk everything for a chance at fortune.   The Driftwood Graveyard – An eerie expanse of floating debris, this area is littered with the remains of countless ships that fell victim to the Domain’s treacherous waters. The Driftwood Graveyard is a sprawling maze of shattered hulls, broken masts, and forgotten cargo, stretching as far as the eye can see. Orcs believe this is where Durxum collected the ships of his defeated foes, leaving them to rot as a reminder of his power. The Graveyard is said to be haunted, with strange lights flickering between the wrecks and whispers carried by the wind. Adventurers sometimes brave the area, hoping to recover lost treasures, but many vanish without a trace.
