Dox – Changeling College of Lore Bard
Dox Illusara (a.k.a. Shifting Sailor)
Growing up within the top island of the swirling peninsula, dox had an easy-going life learning to discover the music and the arts while living in a time of joint peace between the shifters, changelings and Simic hybrids. Dox had heard of the wonders of the Astrium alliance and the mages and simple bard that came from the islands and wanted to learn all he could about the world so that they might one day be selected themselves. Learning about crew morale they decided to get work on a ship – The Broken Doubloon.
While working on the broken doubloon they had come along a large amount of treasure in the gilded ocean, where they were going to split it upon next making shore. Upon arriving in Playbelia, Dox’s crew drugged them and left them in the city, making off with their share of the treasure.
Feeling lost, Dox found themselves busking and selling food on the city streets, before getting noticed by the bards’ colleges, choosing the college of lore, Dox wanted to find out about the history of great battles from the Astrium alliance, and the many ships of legend that have sunk around the world.
After 4 years, Dox graduated top of their class at the college of lore and was given access to the graduates’ library to continue their studies, where they found information about the current goings on of the broken doubloon. Currently staying within the Eribus Depths, where they have made port in Efristan for years. They decided to test their luck at a hunter’s guild, however the one in Playbelia was full and not taking applicants at the time for at least several months. Dox then set sail for Lustrum.
Within Lustrum, Dox decided rather than woo anyone over to join a team, to join a lottery for group being placed together. The Lottery place Dox with a holy dwarf (Gimgen Fireforge) one-armed goliath (Thavia Stormhand) and a being of Efristan; A gith (Ellnia)
During the Golden Basilisks selection exam; Dox utilsed excellent control over their magic to successfully infiltrate and help the their team through to the final rounds where they placed 2nd, after the Archwardens were lucky in uncovering him through their invisibility to snag victory.
Given a place in a special ops group known as the planewardens; under the cell name Quickguard, Dox was seen as a leader for organising everyone and knowing their abilities well. They had a few successful missions notably the helping defeat the first member of the stargaze assembly.
After this, Dox and quickguard were sent on individual missions to find out information about the stargaze assembly, where Dox travelled on the broken doubloon to the island city of Leviathan, where they had succumbed to the brainwashing of the Kage Leader of the Mizu Clan. They were eventually released from the Kage's influence and helped the Archwardens in the final fight against the forces of the Overseer that were attacking the Lustrum Metropolis.
Today, Dox is the Changeling member of the Astrium Alliance, as well as the head of the College of Lore in Playbelia.
