Vehreä

Vehreä is an Elain over 1000 years old, having been born alongside a twin sister under the Twin stars. An auspicious birth into an auspicious family, Vehreä and her sister were brought up as candidates for the stewardship of the World Tree, grown by their grandmother in time immemorial. Ultimately, the matriarchs prophesied Vehreä would have aspirations that would lead her away from her duties, and granted her sister the honor of tending the great Tree's roots, leaving it to Vehreä to spread its branches into the world above.
A devout of the Green Faith, the Calamity saw the shattering of the covenant she held sacred and all the power it had granted her. In this, she found the aspirations her matriarchs foretold. Today, she strikes out from her people's hidden city in hopes of forging that covenant anew, restoring the world's shattered leylines, improving the relations between her people and the world at large, and forging a new haven free from the harsh traditions of her people.
