Sy has been living in Bayt almost all his life, a junior officer with the libraries, though he had seen his fair share of action. Most of the time his timid nature tends to get him into trouble. But when the Sand Reavers accosted a traveling caravan where Sy was traveling in with some of his friends, his inability to help or even save his friends awakened a spark of power, as if Anise herself spoke to him. The sand of time flows into him, and his began exhibiting magical powers of time and space. He was then trained by the priests of the Chronal Bloom, to properly harness his gifts from Anise.
