Kazuya
Kazuya was once just another down on his luck gambler in Kotima. He was wallowing in the drink after blowing all his saving again, when a cosmic entity from another plane offered him a deal. Great fortune for the rest of his days in exchange for his eternal soul. Not one to back down from easy money, Kazuya accepted. He then found that he was actualy starting to win more often than not. This wasn't enough, he wanted to clean house. He looked into other beings that would offer great things in exchange for eternal damnation/servitude/torture, and began making deals. With each new contract he got luckier, dice always rolled in his favor, each poker hand would be a royal flush, he could land a 27 on a roullette wheel 27 times in a row.
The last deal he made was when his 777th patron was the one to finally notice the many stakes in Kazuyas soul, and the greatest legal battle of the outer planes began, the complexity of which left even Mercatio himself stumped. In order to reduce the number of individuals vying for this one soul, he ruled that while the case is ongoing and until a conclusion is made, Kazuya would still be owed everything that was offered him by all participating parties. Unfortunately, Kazuya's list of patrons was highly varied, full of prideful beings of competing alignments that would loath to lose against their rivals, as well as lesser outsiders that paid very little and would be cared for during the legal process. No devil would ever admit defeat to an imp. This resulted in a fierce battle where no one is willing to back off despite having little to gain. The case was handed off to one of Mercatio's servants and is expected to last several eternities.
Meanwhile, Kazuya is free to go, misusing his absurd luck as he sees fit.
