Hana Vermeil
Born to a family of kitsune in a tribe, Hana's very early years of development were rapidly torn down when they came under attack. The few who remained, including her, were enslaved and sold to the highest bidder. She spent years in captivity, forced to perform unthinkable acts and harsh labor. After almost 5 years of torment she managed to finally escape. She managed to find a powerful bow, a family heirloom, stolen from her tribe during her escape, then made her way to a far off neutral territory where she was forced to use what she knows to scrape by and survive. Unfortunately during this time she lost her arm during an encounter with a wild beast that almost cost her life. Luckily, an owner of a large mansion saved her from this creature and replaced her arm with a prosthetic one. She speaks little in the way of any common tongue beyond the bits and pieces she's learned by hearing her captors communicate, but has slowly been learning and is eager to do what she can to gain as much information her little mind can access; however, she has no ability to read and after hearing her captors repeatedly recite vows and sermons from texts, she finds the written word to be a great evil and does all that she can to avoid learning how. She's taken up smoking and finds it soothing in times of great stress.
