Rykon

Rykon is a planet where technology doesn't function properly, outside of certain heavily shielded and carefully constructed items. The magical field is so potent that when combined with unusual magnetic fields, almost all advanced technology burns out when it approaches the planet. One of the few technologies that manages to work on Rykon is mental implants.
Due to this, the natives of Rykon developed advanced magic that eventually even allowed them to reach the stars, and these days they are considered to have some of the most skilled artificers in the known galaxy, capable of crafting anything from minor illusions to magical starships that don't use advanced technology.
